As one of Germany's first data-processing centers sds has successfully been audited according to the new audit standard IDW PS 951 type A by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) this year.

sds acts as a partner for outsourcing for companies of the most diverse size. Especially the operation of systems relevant to accounting, such as SAP R/3 or for customer tailored applications for ERP (enterprise resource planning), is a focus, here.

sds has created an CobiT®-based control framework with a focus on these systems.

The processes defined in the sds-control-framework and successfully audited by PwC comprise

• Processes of IT Management (IT Organization and IT Environment, IT Risk Management , IT Compliance Management),
• IT Security Management (General Security Measures, Physical Security, Network Security, protection against malicious software, User Management and Access Control),
• Incident Management
• Change Management
• IT-Operations (operations and job planning, data backup and relocation, availability and maintenance) as well as
• IT Continuity Management.

PwC has confirmed the adequate design of processes of the internal control system for the achievement of the control objectives (Design Effectiveness) at sds. Thus for the customers outsourced IT processes as well as high quality and compliance requirements continue to be guaranteed with sds.
