Security, integrity and confidentiality of information have a high standing with sds. In order to emphasize this demand sds managed to be successfully audited according to the global standard for the Security Management ISO 27001 by the auditors of the KPMG.

In the course of the auditing a structured Information Security Management System (ISMS) that follows the strict guidelines of the ISO Standard 27001 and includes a Risk Management System was implemented into the organization of sds.

The handing over of the certificate took place August 23, 2007. It is valid until 2010 a period during which regular internal audits will be carried out by the KPMG.

sds operates as an outsourcing partner for companies of different size. Here, the operation of systems relevant to accounting, e.g. SAP R/3, must be pointed out. In the course of the audits of the annual statement of accounts with the customers of sds the question concerning a certificate of an ordinary IT operation of these IT systems in the sense of variable examination standards (e.g. SAS70 or IDW (E)PS 951) is put with increasing frequency.

sds takes these customer inquiries very seriously and wants to meet the high quality and compliance requirements of the customers in future, too. Therefore sds intends to provide an (E)PS 951 type B report. This corresponds to the USA SAS70 standard.
